10/4/2008 OV Wright Memorial Fund - Update
Mississippi Records is proud to have contributed £56 (USD $105) to the OV Wright Memorial fund, following the fundraiser on the 6th May 2008. Red Kelly, the Fund's Organiser posted the following at www.ovwright.org
"On May 6th, London's Lucky 13 Lounge held an O.V. Wright Memorial fundraiser to help raise money for our worthy cause. According to host Mississippi Oliver McDonald; "We had an absolutely superb night - artists were me, Phil Lunn, Jason Panudy, Eddie's Brother, and we were fortunate enough also to have Laura Stark play - she was a showcasing artist at SXSW in Austin ealier this year, and was recently in Memphis..." Sounds great! The event raised $105. Our thanks to all who attended!".

2/4/2008 OV Wright Memorial Fund
Mississippi Ol Macdonald is proud to support the OV Wright memorial fund. The fund was started in March of 2008 to honor the memory of this great Soul Singer by placing a monument on his unmarked grave down in Memphis, Tennessee. Mississippi will appear at a special fundraiser at the Lucky 13 Lounge on Tuesday 6th May in support of the OV Wright Memorial Fund. You can find out more about the fundby clicking here
