The 100th birthday of the late pianist/composer Emahoy Tsege Mariam Gebru, featuring never before performed compositions and a previously unreleased recording.

December 12, 2023 marks the 100th birthday of the late pianist/composer Emahoy Tsege Mariam Gebru! This piano concert celebrates 100 years of Emahoy’s music and features compositions never before performed, as well as a previously unreleased recording of selections performed by the late Emahoy Tsege Mariam Gebru. Pianist/composer Thomas Feng has been working to digitize and catalog Emahoy's archive of written and recorded music, and is working closely with Mississippi on a forthcoming LP of Emahoy's vocal music.
