Parsnip Snips is made up of songs Michael recorded from 1965 and 1972 (between First Songs and Armchair Boogie) on his mono Wollensak . He was living rurally and out of the music career game. Even though he was not playing professionally, he could not bottle up the muse. It had to flow. The songs are so natural, they could be mistaken for something that just sprouted out of the earth organically. Some of his most intimate recordings, many would become staples of his catalog in decades to come.
